Memorial Scholarship
On June 28th, 2016, the world lost a bright light in losing Brendan Crockett in a tragic car accident that also claimed the life of Brendan's brother, Jefferson.
Brendan was kind a respectful, smart and generous 21 year old. He had a tremendous effect on not only his friends and family, but anyone he came in contact with.
At the age of 13, Brendan won the 14 and under division in his first ever Junior Nationals and proudly represented the USA at the Junior World Championships for the next five years all over the globe. Brendan's accomplishments and highlights in his pool career were impressive. However, it was the way he conducted himself and his character which was most impressive.
Brendan was a fierce competitor, but never became upset at the table. He always kept his head steady, fought hard and shook hands no matter which side of that handshake he was on. He was the epitome of a gentleman and someone we can all learn from.
The Billiards community and Brendan’s family have decided to honor Brendan through an annual scholarship we hope will continue for many years to come. “The Brendan Crockett Memorial Scholarship” will award $2,000 to a junior player who is headed into their freshman or sophomore year of college and excels in the following areas:
-
Academics

And
